  • Treasury is one of the integral functions of the bank whose major responsibilities are management of the Bank’s Liquidity, Foreign Currency Book, Investment Book and Corresponding Relationship of the Bank.  
  • Liquidity management is done as per Bank’s policy and Nepal Ratsra Bank regulations so that Bank can meet its various obligations efficiently and cost-effectively at any point in time.
  • Treasury Department publishes Exchange rates of convertible currencies as allowed by Nepal Rastra Bank to facilitate currency conversion. Exchange rates are published based on the latest available rates in the International Market. Treasury also offers foreign exchange risk hedging tools to its customers for hedging their foreign currency exposure.  
  • Treasury also manages the overall investment book of the Bank by investing both local currency and foreign currency in diversified sectors as permitted by Nepal Rastra Bank and its internal policies and guidelines.
  • Treasury, on behalf of the bank, maintains a correspondent relationship with reputed financial institutions across the globe to facilitate international businesses like LCs, Guarantees for its valued customers. Such relationships are maintained as per the present business need as well as future strategic importance. 
  • Bullion business of the Bank is also managed by Treasury under which Precious Metals like Gold/Silver is imported for supply and sales to the local buyers/agents/local banks as per the prevailing laws.
