What is Cashback?
Cashback is a reward provided by the Bank to its cardholders subject to specific terms and conditions where the Bank deposits certain percent of the transaction amount back to the cardholders’ accounts. In the present scheme, Nabil Bank deposits 1% of purchase transaction amount for card transactions to the respective cardholder’s account at the end of scheme period.
How can I benefit from Cashback scheme?
Use your Visa Debit cards issued by Nabil Bank at merchant outlets for purchase of goods and/or services throughout Nepal and India within the scheme period. 1% of every rupee you spend with your Nabil Debit card shall be deposited in to your bank account at Nabil Bank. Cash withdrawals will not qualify for Cashback reward.
Will my card transactions qualify for Cashback if I raise dispute on any of them later?
The dispute follows a separate process called Dispute Resolution. Nabil Bank shall debit your account for the 1% of disputed amount in the scheme period if your transaction is reversed.
How will I get a Nabil Debit Card?
You have many options to access a Nabil Debit card. You can open an account with Nabil Bank and apply for a debit card. Nabil also provides prepaid debit cards in Visa brand over the counters without having to open an account.
Where can I use my Nabil Visa Debit card?
Your Nabil Visa Debit card can be used for shopping and spending at various merchant locations like department stores, garment and footwear retail stores, restaurants, hotels, travel agencies, health clinics, gas stations, recreation centers, virtually every other shops and retail stores that accepts Visa all over Nepal and India.
Why has Nabil launched Cashback scheme?
Nabil has taken the mission to educate its cardholders regarding the scope of use of the Nabil Visa Debit cards. While, Nabil Visa debit card is powerful money that can substitute the use of Cash to great extent, our cardholders are far from getting the most benefits of this card. Nabil targets to educate its cardholders to use their cards directly for shopping and spending and thus saving time of going to ATMs and withdrawing cash. If your Nabil Visa debit card is accepted as good enough mode of payment for goods and services, there is no need to visit an ATM, withdraw cash and again pay for the same goods or services.
Are discounts and Cashback different?
They are different in that Nabil has arranged for discounts at various merchants in town that can be availed on purchases with Nabil Credit and Debit cards while Cashback is a separate incentive that does not curtail the discount offer to its cardholders. While Cashback is only valid for Nabil Visa Debit cards, discounts are available for entire card products of Nabil Bank.
